Check printing business: Liberty
Change has been rapid and constant for all credit
unions. Because of that, Liberty is changing too and now exclusively
focused on serving credit unions. They help banks successfully attract
and retain members. With the backing of Harland, a leader in financial
services for over 80 years, they've been able to strengthen solutions
and focus on making the credit union industry better as a whole.
Liberty believes that providing flexibility, providing options and
enhancing solutions are key to letting members know that customers are
really cared for. To embark on meeting challenges such as these, it's
important to keep existing members coming and Liberty wants to help
credit unions become "preferred" financial institutions.
Liberty's experience serving credit unions combined with
the capabilities of Harland will provide the best of both worlds - the
agility and responsiveness of Liberty combined with the strength and
breadth of Harland. Now more than ever, they are focused, aligned, and
dedicated to ensuring success to credit unions.
Liberty, originally founded by David L. Copham in late 1985, established
a track record of remarkable success based on dedication, independence,
innovation, and courage. Copham worked for more than 20 years in the
business forms printing industry, where he became an early advocate for
the use of personal computers in forms printing. During that time,
Copham became convinced the smaller financial institutions needed a
check printer that placed an emphasis on meeting their unique needs and
successfully grew the company into a marketplace leader.
In the years that followed, Liberty diversified its business into a
multi-dimensional service provider in the areas of payment systems,
marketing services and technology solutions - growing to serve more than
5,400 financial institutions across the U.S. A testament to the strength
of its foundation and success in the marketplace, Liberty was acquired
by the John H Harland company in June of 2005. Today, Liberty is a
division of Harland Printed Products and continues to serve the growing
needs of financial institutions. Visit them at:
